After completing several XpresCheck airport COVID testing centers in 2021, XpresSpa reached out to Showbest to help launch their newest venture, Treat, within John F. Kennedy International Airport. Treat is a fully operational care center that provides travelers access to board-certified physicians, curated wellness retail items, and luxury services that prioritize the health and wellness of travelers within major U.S. airports.

Travelers can enjoy on-site and virtual fitness classes, private meditation rooms, anxiety care, IV drip infusion therapy, Covid-19 rapid and PCR tests, flu shots, and more. Memberships can be purchased to enjoy Treat via a mobile app. This allows users to access unlimited on-demand virtual care, schedule appointments, and manage their Wellness Center experience.

Showbest manufactured and installed multiple millwork pieces for this project. Key features include: 

• • • Solid maple side tables and stools 
    • Yoga mat holders
    • A Vinyl wrapped center storage cabinet 
    • Custom credenzas made with laminate, powder-coated steel, and quartz tops
    • Maple wardrobes with curved openings 
    • Custom built-in foldaway benches allow for flexibility of additional space. 
    • Maple wrap-around slat walls 
    • Cabinetry in each room

As with all airport projects, a unique set of materials was utilized to optimize durability without sacrificing the look and feel of the space. High-quality maple veneer which was free from any defects was one of the primary materials used. A matching maple laminate was utilized in high-traffic areas. Despite the challenges of tight timelines, Showbest was able to manufacture and install the first Treat location within the airport on time and in good order in December 2021.
