We are excited to be a part of XpresSpa’s newest travel health & wellness venture, Treat. Treat is focused on catering to the new wave of health-conscious travelers that have emerged since the start of the pandemic. Their first physical shop, located in the John F. Kennedy International Airport, is a fully operational care center that provides customers access to board-certified physicians, curated wellness retail items, and luxury services that prioritize the health and wellness of travelers.
In 2020, Showbest partnered with XpresSpa Group to launch XpresSpa, their pop-up style airport COVID testing center in just 5 days. After this success, the group reached out again to collaborate with XpresSpa and designer Tobi Wray on Treat’s new wellness center which launched in late 2021.
At Treat’s brick-and-mortar in-airport wellness center (JFK International Airport Terminal 4), travelers enjoy the convenience of a suite of comprehensive services in a luxurious and comfortable environment. Treat also comes with a mobile app. So that travelers can enjoy instant access to on-demand care, convenience when it comes to booking services at the wellness centers, and a secure health wallet to store medical records.
If you need on-site care while waiting for your flight, Treat’s wellness center offers a roster of on-site medical professionals who can attend to your medical needs. This includes last-minute COVID-19 rapid PCR tests or even your annual flu shots – these services are free with the Treat membership.
Treat also offers an on-site pharmacy for travelers who have forgotten any important prescriptions or need over-the-counter medication.
Travelers can also take advantage of services and activities like IV drip infusion therapy, meditation, and even yoga sessions to help you get back on your feet before your next flight.
To help the brand achieve a lush, comfortable, and enjoyable hospitality space, Showbest was tasked to create many unique millwork pieces for the project. Pieces include maple side tables and stools, yoga mat holders, storage cabinets, custom credenzas, maple wardrobes with curved openings, foldaway benches, and more.
Having created hundreds of airport retail stores before, Showbest recommended the use of durable materials to accommodate the high-traffic environment while still upholding the sophisticated design aesthetic. Some of the materials used include maple wood, powder-coated steel, quartz countertops, laminate, and vinyl.
